For Kevin’s birthday this year, he found it important to continue a very special Gersh family birthday tradition started by his mother that dates back to the early days of West Hills Day Camp.
Each year on her birthday, Kevin’s mother would hand out lollipops to over 2,000 West Hills Campers. The memories of the smiles on all of the children’s faces warms our heart to this day, and we continue this tradition by handing out lollipops to all of our children in our schools. Check out the recap video below.
NOTE FROM KEVIN:
“Traditions keep special memories from our past alive. My mother’s birthday was in the summertime and I remember every year her handing out lollipops to all 2,000 of her kids at West Hills Day Camp. I can still see the smiles on their faces and hers. I want to continue this tradition, so today on my birthday I bought a lollipop for each of my children. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your lives! You are all so special to me.”– Kevin Gersh
